Nancy Frye
With a BA in Drama from the University of Washington, Nancy jumped right into the theatrical scene in the late 80s working for the UW and Seattle Opera costume shops, Taproot Theatre, and others.
After a brief stint teaching English in Japan, she landed in California where she met her future husband who introduced her to the wacky world of film and TV. The next few years were full of varied endeavors, such as background cavalry on “The Postman”, mule team driver on “Ride with the Devil”, and assistant armorer on “The Patriot”. She has thrown spears from horseback in heavy armor for the History Channel, shot AK-47s at helicopters as a movie guerilla, and played a cardiac surgeon on Japanese TV.
Returning to Washington State in 2004 she spent a few years working on stage in a variety of roles including Gillian Holroyd in “Bell, Book & Candle” (Roving Players), Dr. Halbrech in “Scotland Road” (Jewel Box Theatre), and Olivia in “Twelfth Night” (Port Gamble Theater).
When not acting she can be found working as a script supervisor or armorer on various shorts and features. Latest on-screen work includes features “7 Witches” and “Burn it All”.
